The short answer is sometimes. Some projects are large or intricate enough that warrant a design. While sometimes a sketch is all we need to get going. Either way Acre Group can help guide you through the design process. The ultimate goal of any project is to make sure we are all on the same page and you understand what you are getting. When we meet you for a landscape consultation our landscape team can direct you in the best path for your project.

Quick proposals and estimates are free for most of our service lines. We do have an extra fee for consulting and design work.

Yes, we offer a variety of drainage solutions including french drains. The basic principle of a french drain is to provide a path of least resistance for water to follow instead of building up and flooding the soil. It consists of a trench containing a perforated pipe buried in gravel that slopes away from the problem area. French drains are most commonly installed in low spots on the property or around the foundations to prevent water from seeping into the house.

In general, it all depends on the season of the year. On average you can expect a 2-4 week lead time for smaller projects and enhancements such as pruning, lighting, drainage, and mulch/pine straw services. For larger projects, it can be from 4-8 weeks with longer times needed for back-ordered materials. From the sale to the start date, and completion of the job we strive to keep the customer informed and involved in the progress.

The cost of a project can vary greatly from the needs of the residence and what materials are determined for use. Most mid-sized projects fall into the $5,000-10,000 range. These would be projects like renovating front of house plantings to installing a paver patio. We work hand and hand to supply the customer with the best end result while keeping cost in mind.

Yes, we are fully licensed through the State of Alabama in Landscape, Lawn Care, and Pest Control. We have also certified landscape installers, interlocking paver installers, and Belgard Preferred Contractors. We carry Work Comp, Auto, and General Liability insurance.

Yes, we also specialize in natural stone work ranging from flagstone patios & walkways, stack stone & boulder walls, and stone edging to outdoor kitchens and fireplaces.

The plant material installed by Acre Group is warranted for a period of (6 months) from the date of installation (“The Warranty Period”). This is subject to the following terms and conditions. The limited warranty does not include seeding, seasonal flowers, perennials and annuals, grading, and settlement are not included in the warranty. As a condition of the limited warranty, the customer is responsible for properly maintaining the plant material including watering. Plant watering is the largest concern for newly installed plants. And overwatering can contribute to death. Plants not under an irrigation system are not covered by the warranty. Acre Group stands behind its labor and craftmanship for 3 years on all hardscape projects.

We work with a variety of stone materials from natural flagstone and cut blue stone to dry cast concrete material (pavers & wall block). Our team is competent whether it be mortaring a flagstone patio or screeding sand for a paver application. Most of our hardscape work can be classified into flagstone/bluestone patios & walkways, retaining walls, paver patios, and stack stone walls. We pride ourselves in the ability to install the stone product of choosing correctly and with good workmanship.
